Entry Requirements

A high school diploma is required.
Familiarity with basic computer use and good command of the English language is recommended, as the program is entirely delivered in English.

Teaching Units Presentation

Week 1: Welcome & AI in Education
Orientation, introduction to the course platform and learning goals.
Exploration of Education 4.0 and the foundational concepts of Artificial Intelligence in educational contexts.
Participants complete a self-introduction and a reflection on their goals for the program.

Week 2: Generative AI & Chatbots
Introduction to major generative AI tools: ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, DeepSeek, and Copilot.
Participants experiment with classroom use cases such as writing support, feedback, and lesson ideas.
Badge 1 is awarded after their first successful chatbot-based task.

Week 3: Prompt Engineering for Educators
Focus on crafting high-impact prompts tailored to educational purposes: instructional, reflective, and creative.
Assignment: Create and submit three educational prompts of different types for peer feedback and platform use.

Week 4: AI Tools for Lesson Planning & Content Creation
Exploration of platforms such as MagicSchoolAI, Eduaide, Twee, and Almanack.
Participants use these tools to generate lesson plans, scaffolds, language resources, and personalized content.

Week 5: AI Tools for Teaching Support & Feedback
Participants explore how AI can support classroom management, student journaling, and teacher documentation.
Hands-on work with SchoolAI, Notion (journals), and Brisk Teaching.
Badge 2 is awarded upon submission of a classroom support mini-scenario.

Week 6: Designing Inclusive & Differentiated Learning with AI
Thematic focus on accessibility and equity.
Participants explore Diffit (reading level adjustment), Canva for Accessibility (visual clarity), and inclusive lesson redesign using AI.
Assignment: Redesign a short activity for three student profiles (e.g., ESL, SEN, mixed-ability).

Week 7: AI Ethics, Bias & Plagiarism
Exploration of critical topics in responsible AI use: data bias, algorithmic decision-making, plagiarism concerns, and transparency.
Forum activity: Each participant contributes to an ethical dilemma discussion based on classroom examples.

Week 8: Creating with AI – Images, Video & Audio
Participants use DALL·E and Ideogram for visuals, HeyGen and InVideo for video generation, and Suno or ElevenLabs for audio.
Assignment: Submit a media artifact created with at least one tool to support a specific learning objective.

Week 9: Gamified & Interactive Learning with AI Tools
Designing playful and interactive educational experiences using Genially, Quizizz, Wordwall, Kahoot!, Edpuzzle, and REDMENTA.
Participants design and share one gamified mini-activity.
Badge 3 is awarded for completion of the task.

Week 10: Storytelling & Visual Design with Canva
Deep dive into the use of Canva for Education in visual storytelling, comics, booklets, infographics, and posters.
Assignment: Create and submit a visual teaching aid (e.g., a concept poster or comic scenario).

Week 11: Final Project – AI-Enhanced Lesson
Participants design their own AI-integrated lesson, incorporating tools explored during the course.
They may opt to submit their work for inclusion in the global showcase.
Badge 4 is awarded upon successful submission.

Week 12: Final Quiz, Reflection & Certification
Participants complete a multiple-choice final quiz covering the course content, and submit a final reflective form on their learning journey.
Upon successful completion of all assignments and the final quiz, participants receive their certificate from the International Hellenic University.
