The target group of the proposed educational program "Child’s Rights: Theory and Pedagogical Practice" includes:
- Teachers in Preschool, Primary, and Secondary Education, from all specialties, who have a particular interest in human rights, citizenship education, and pedagogical practices that promote respect for childhood.
- Graduates of Pedagogical and Social Sciences (such as Education Departments, Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, etc.) who wish to deepen their understanding of the theoretical and practical dimensions of children's rights.
- Professionals and staff from organizations active in the fields of education, welfare, and child protection.
- Educators in informal or non-formal education settings (such as adult educators, group coordinators, facilitators) who are seeking methodological tools to promote children’s rights through participatory and experiential processes.
The program is suitable for individuals with a pedagogical sensitivity who wish to develop skills and acquire a theoretical foundation to integrate the philosophy of children's rights into everyday educational practice.

The participation fee for the educational program is 200 euros.
This amount covers:
- Access to all teaching modules of the program (with a total duration of 7 months),
- Provision of educational materials and access to digital learning platforms,
- Guidance from scientific coordinators and support during the implementation of the action plan,
- Issuance of a certificate of completion, including a detailed account of the learning outcomes achieved.
The fee ensures the coverage of organizational, technical, and administrative costs necessary for the high-quality delivery of the program.

To attend the educational program "Children’s Rights: Theory and Pedagogical Practice," the following formal qualifications and participation requirements apply:
- A Higher Education Degree from a university/college institution, preferably in the fields of Education, Social or Human Sciences (e.g., Education Departments, Philology, Psychology, Social Work, Sociology, Law, Political Science).
- Good knowledge of the English language (at least B2 level for non-native speakers).
- Professional or voluntary experience in educational or pedagogical settings will be considered an additional qualification.
- Basic digital skills, in order to ensure smooth participation in the program, especially in the case of using digital tools (such as synchronous or asynchronous e-learning platforms).
- Availability and commitment to participate throughout the full duration of the program, as it includes theoretical lectures, experiential workshops, and practical applications.
Purpose of the Program
The purpose of the educational program "Children’s Rights: Theory and Pedagogical Practice" is to strengthen educators’ pedagogical understanding of the importance of children's rights as a fundamental dimension of educational practice and school life.
The program aspires to contribute to the shaping of a school environment that promotes respect, equality, democracy, and participation, empowering educators to become pedagogues who recognize the child as a rights-bearing individual and an active participant in the learning process.
Specifically, the program aims to:
- Foster an understanding of children's rights as an integral part of the pedagogical relationship and school culture.
- Highlight the role of the educator as a supporter, enabler, and protector of children's rights.
- Introduce practical strategies and methods for integrating children’s rights into everyday teaching and educational practices.
- Cultivate a critical and reflective stance on issues of childhood, power, participation, and children’s voices within the school setting.
The program adopts a pedagogical perspective that views rights not as external mandates, but as an inherent part of educational ethics and the school community.
Learning Objectives
1. Cognitive Skills
Participants will be able to:
- Identify and understand the fundamental principles of children’s rights, based on the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child and relevant educational policies.
- Interpret children's rights through contemporary pedagogical and psychosocial approaches.
- Critically analyze educational practices through the lens of rights, equality, and children's participation.
- Connect theoretical concepts with everyday educational practice, identifying opportunities to integrate children's rights into teaching and learning.
2. Psychomotor Skills
Participants will be able to:
- Design and implement educational activities that promote democratic participation, respect, and empathy in the classroom.
- Apply experiential and participatory teaching methods that empower children's voices and enhance collaboration.
- Manage educational situations with respect for children’s rights, taking into account diversity and the needs of all students.
3. Attitudes and Values
Participants will strengthen:
- Their pedagogical sensitivity toward children's rights and needs.
- Their sense of responsibility and commitment to fostering a school environment based on respect, care, and justice.
- Their reflective capacity as educators, adopting attitudes that support autonomy, participation, and the protection of children within the school.
- Their critical stance against exclusion, stereotypes, and authoritarian practices in education.
